As a manufacturer of adult products with 7 years of experience, we often receive inquiries from customers about how to calculate shipping costs, how long the transportation time is, and how to place an order. In order to assist potential buyers, we have provided the following answers to these frequently asked questions.
Understand the legality of importing adult products in your local area
Before proceeding with your shopping plans, we recommend that you contact the local customs office to inquire about the legality of importing adult products. In some countries, such as Muslim countries like the Middle East, India, and Pakistan, the importation of adult products is prohibited. However, there is still a significant market demand for sex toys in these countries, and some people have found special ways to transport and clear these products through customs. See the map below for a list of countries where the importation of adult products is prohibited.
Shipping Costs
Regardless of which shipping method you choose, the shipping cost will always depend on the chargeable weight. The chargeable weight is either the actual gross weight or volumetric weight of the goods. The shipping company will calculate the weight as follows:
For example, a customer in the United States wants to ship one box of goods via UPS or DHL. The gross weight is 10KG, and the box size is 453540 (CM). When the courier receives the goods, they will calculate the weight as follows: Gross weight: 10KG
Volumetric weight: 45*35*40/5000=12.6KG
Since the volumetric weight is greater than the gross weight, the chargeable weight is 13KG.
Common Shipping Terms
- DAP: Under DAP shipping terms, the buyer is responsible for customs clearance and import duties.
- DDP: Papavibes will handle packaging, labeling, shipping, customs clearance, and all customs and handling fees.
- FOB: This term is usually used for bulk wholesale orders. After the buyer booking the ship, Papavibes will be responsible for delivering the goods to the port, and the buyer will be responsible for all subsequent customs clearance and import duties.
Customs Clearance Documents
Generally, it is necessary to provide documents such as:
